Miss Arden,

Great news, you are developing quite well!  We had your 4 month checkup on Friday and everything was great.  You are quite small for your age, but I am sure that once you start eating “solids” that you will beef up a bit.

Results from our doctor visit:

Weight: 11 pounds 14.2 ounces (6th percentile)

Height: 24.5 inches (45th percentile)

Head Circumference: 16.75 inches (92nd percentile)

The doctor was a little concerned about your weight so we are going to have another visit in a month to see how you’re progressing.  We got a couple shots and then we were outta there!

As I mentioned earlier you’ve been staying with your Aunt Kelsey and things seem to be going very well.  Your Mother visits you nearly every day at lunch so you ladies get to hang out a bit more than you might have had you gone to a formal daycare center.

You are talking a bit more than you have been.  It seems as though you may be teething, but nothing’s popped through yet.  On September 30th you rolled from your front to your back.  On November 1st you rolled from your back to your front.  Before long you’ll be running and jumping!

You appreciate the pacifier much more than Emerson did when he was your age.  It seems to soothe you, especially when you’re on the verge of falling asleep.  You also chew on your fingers a bit, but I believe that to be another sign that you may be teething.  You and Emerson are getting along very well.  It is very cute to watch him care for you.  Last night as we were driving home you were a bit fussy.  He looked over and said “We’re almost home, Arden”.  It was adorable.

I couldn’t be happier to have such a beautiful little girl.

Oh, and I almost forgot, you started eating cereal yesterday!  Get excited!
