Miss Arden,

I cannot believe that it has been two months since my last post!  I feel terrible, but boy time flies.  Things have been very busy and you’re growing like a weed.  I wasn’t sure what it would be like having another girl around the house, but so far the transition has gone wonderfully.

You are as cute as a button.  You still don’t have much hair at all, but the little bit that you do have seems like a strawberry blonde color to me.  I am not sure what color it will end up, but I am sure it will be cute.  I am still not used to the headband thing.  I’ve never really grown up with them around, so it’s a bit foreign to me.

On Monday (your two month birthday) you had your first doctor’s appointment, which went very well, except for the shots!  You weighed in at 10.02 lbs, were 22.5 inches long, and your heart was pumping at 148  BPM.  You ranked in the 82nd percentile for head circumference, 51st in height, and only 18th in weight.

We recently had your great-grandmother Phyllis’s 83rd birthday.  Everyone was very excited to see you again, but you slept the entire time.  We haven’t been out to see many people because it just seems like there isn’t enough time in the day.  I work all day and then am tired by the time I get settled in at home.  Over the weekend we are either working on house projects or taking naps :).  Hopefully soon we will be able to visit my side of the family and also introduce you to your great grandma and grandpa Pillsbury in Petersburg.

Not much else new, really.  The very hot and dry summer is coming to an end, today’s a blue moon and we won’t see another until May 21, 2016.  It’s raining quite a bit today but as of Tuesday nearly 70% of Illinois was in Extreme or Exceptional drought.  There are beliefs that the drought will cause an increase in crop prices as well as meats but there are a lot of different opinions as to how much prices will rise.  Only time will tell!

Well, my little princess, I think I will put the computer away for the evening.  I can’t wait to watch you grow into a beautiful woman.  I love you very much.
